Message from the President: A growing community

The Clinical Ethics Society of Australasia recently reached its first anniversary. There are currently 91 CESA members who have joined the community from across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. The CESA membership comprises clinicians, ethicists, lawyers, health service managers, and academics (or some combination of these) and one of the main goals of CESA is to connect and support that community. With that in mind, you will find below information about events, resources, and opportunities to participate in a range of activities or share your questions and ideas.

We also want to learn more about CESA members, and help connect people with similar interests and needs, so please do consider responding to the brief member questions below. You will see I have fallen on my sword and offer myself as the first responder to get the ball rolling.

In future newsletters we will also be profiling the work of CESA members – as individuals or centres/groups – so we can share information about how people are working, with whom and on what. If you are keen to be involved, please get in touch.

With thanks, (and boundless enthusiasm), Linda Sheahan, President, CESA
